Charts explained

Purpose

The Dashboard charts break the headline KPIs down so you can see where and how the numbers move.

All charts share these conventions:

  • Hover any bar, line, slice, or radial arc to see precise values in a tooltip.
  • KES values are scaled automatically (billions, millions, or raw KES) to keep axes readable.
  • Charts use a teal/green primary palette consistent with KCFIS branding.

Charts you will see

A line chart with two series:

  • Amount Committed — pledges over time.
  • Actual Expenditure — spending over time.

Use it to see whether disbursement is keeping pace with commitments.

Disbursements by Financial Instrument

A bar chart of actual expenditure broken down by instrument: Grants, Concessional Loan, Non-Concessional Loan, Equity, Guarantee, Insurance, Other.

A second variant of the same chart shows commitments and disbursements stacked, so you can see the disbursement gap per instrument.

Expenditure by Entity Type

A pie chart of actual expenditure split between MDA, NGO, County, Private Sector, CSO, HQ, and any Unknown entries. Use it to see which entity types account for most of the climate finance flowing.

A multi-series line chart of commitment and disbursement over time, broken down by entity type. Useful for spotting which entity type is driving an overall trend.

Disbursements by Climate Sector

A bar chart of actual expenditure by NCCAP sector (Disaster Risk Management; Food & Nutrition Security; Water & Blue Economy; Forestry, Wildlife & Tourism; Health, Sanitation & Human Settlements; Manufacturing; Energy and Transport; Children and Youth).

BTR Quality Score (Radial)

A circular gauge for the same quality score shown as a KPI. The filled arc represents the score from 0 to 100.

Empty charts

If a chart shows nothing, it is because the underlying data does not yet contain values for that breakdown. As more submissions are approved and locked, the charts populate.
