Forced password change

Purpose

When an administrator creates an account for you (or resets your password), KCFIS marks the account as must change password on next login. The first time you sign in, KCFIS sends you to the Change Your Password screen before letting you use the application.

When this happens

You will see this screen if:

  • An administrator created your account with a temporary password.
  • An administrator reset your password.
  • A security policy required a forced rotation.

Step-by-step

  1. Sign in as usual (see Logging in). KCFIS recognises that you must change your password and opens the Change Your Password screen.
  2. In New Password, type your new password (minimum 8 characters). Click the eye icon to reveal the value if you want to verify it.
  3. In Confirm New Password, type the same value again.
  4. Click Change Password.
Expected result

A toast confirms "Password changed successfully!" and KCFIS opens the Dashboard.

You cannot skip this step

KCFIS will not let you use any other screen until you complete the change. The sidebar is hidden on this page on purpose.
